[Clinical signs]
1. Lameness with swollen, painful joints
2. Fever
3. Nonspecific lethargy and poor appetite
4. Proteinuria
5. Cutaneous lesions : erythema
6. Thrombocytopenia
7. Nonspecific pain

LE test : positive

LE cell(lupus erythematosus cell)는 synovial fluid에 잘 존재하지 않지만, 존재할 경우 SLE임을 크게 의심할 수 있다.

(하지만 최근에는 SLE 외의 다른 immune mediate disease와 혼돈하기 쉬워, ANA test로 대체되고 있다.)

LE cell은 leukophagocytic macrophage나 특정 nucleic acid를 포함한 neutrophil과 유사하게 생겼다.
