TOTAL FLUIDS
Suggests a fluid therapy plan based on estimated
deficit, maintenance requirements, and ongoing losses.
Suggests appropriate K+ supplementation based on the current K+ blood level.
Deficit is corrected over a user selectable amount of time.

Potassium should not be administered faster than 0.5 mEq/kg/hr. If supplementing with large amounts, a continuous ECG or serial potassium measurements should be performed to prevent iatrogenic hyperkalemia.
