ANESTHESIA DRIP RATES

This calculator was designed to assist vet students in the anesthesia rotation determine both the ideal rate to set their fluids at as well as to determine how fast their fluids are actually running.

Ideal Fluid Rate: Fill in the Pt. weight, fluid dose, drop size, and tap the Ideal Button. This will give you the Rate that the fluids should be set to in ml/hr, ml/15 minutes, and drops/15 seconds.

Actual Fluid Rate: Fill in the drops/15 seconds, the drop size, and tap the Actual Button and it will tell you how fast your fluids are running. Fill in the Pt. weight to determine the dose that your patient is receiving.
