Corrected Ca (mg/dl) = Ca - Albumin + 3.5
Corrected calcium has only been validated for use in
adult dogs. It should only be used when an animal is hypoalbuminemic,
and not in patients with hypercalcemia. If available, running an ionized
calcium will yield more accurate results than using this calculation.
